Hello everyone!  I know it has been so long since I have posted.  Truth be told, it has been at least a week since I even logged on.  The rumors aren’t true. If you haven’t heard them, they go like this.

A. I AM the crazy cat lady and was eaten by my cats.

2. I ran away with the State Trooper that pulled me over and we are living in Rancho Cucamonga and are currently still trying to get over the flu.

But really, all is well in Sarah land with me, the hubs, and the boys.  I will admit I had a bit of a hard time when they cancelled my surgery 2 days before said surgery.  And by “Hard Time” I mean I threw a hissy fit, possibly said, “If a steak knife landed in my hip they would fix it then, wouldn’t they?!?!?!”

And I may or may not have thrown the scarf I was wearing.

5 times.

Needless to say, I was ready to have this over with, and they cancelled.  Whatever.  How one runs out of human cadaver cartilage is beyond me.  Now, I am back on schedule for April 7th.  Assuming we don’t enter into a zombie apocalypse and there will NEVER be cadaver cartilage for my personal use.

But, I have taken a couple of weeks to “Work through my feelings.” AKA eat copious amounts of food and watch more Bravo TV than one person really should ever consider watching.  AKA I dreamed I was a real housewife and had heavily abused botox.  Not a good look for me.

I am not proud.

But oddly enough, all of that up there isn’t the reason for this post.

The reason for this post is that I am amazed several times a day at the things I don’t know.  But this one thing is still bugging me.  I don’t know why, but I feel I should have known this.

Ore-Ida potatoes.  We all know them.  Fried potato goodness.

Did everyone else in the free world know that the name Ore-Ida is a mix of Oregon and Idaho????  How did I miss this.  I remember as a kid thinking, “There are so many things to know.”  The grown ups around me seemed to know so much and I just knew I would never know all of these things. But as I got older I started to feel more confident in the depth of my growing knowledge.

Then a commercial for tater tots comes on and they reveal this is the origin of their name.

And frankly I am still a bit dumbfounded that I didn’t know that.

And as I search for a tater tot photo, I find this.  The states are conjoined.  Clearly everyone on the planet knew this but me.  I will make peace with this.

One day.

Hope all of you are well!

As Always,

Woman on Pause
